History of QIR

Quartz Infrared, Inc. is a second-generation family owned-and-operated manufacturing business with more than 26 years of experience supplying high quality products. We manufacture all the heating elements that we sell. We specialize in small runs and custom designs, but can be highly competitive on large orders as well.

The company started in 1984 as Baume Corporation under John Eaton, Jr. After 18 years of operating the company, John decided to retire and turned control of the business over to his children. Since 2001, John Eaton III has operated Baume Corporation under its new name, Quartz Infared, Inc. In the years since, a third generation of the Eaton family has come to work for the company as well.

Now in 2011, Quarz Infared, Inc celebrates its tenth anniversary under its new name and ownership.
